The Cookie Momsters, Inc. Story
When Lynn's young son was diagnosed with autism at the age of two, her family and she embarked on an unfamiliar journey through therapies, biomedical treatments, and special dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, little Jacob did not like prepackaged foods, so everything he ate had to be homemade using only organic, tree nut, gluten, and casein free ingredients.One morning, Lynn and her coworker, Janice, were having coffee and discussing the full time job of policing Jacob's diet, when Janice suggested that they should find a way to help other moms in the same situation. One of the things Lynn missed the most was the ease and convenience of baking fresh cookies for Jacob using frozen cookie dough. Together, Lynn and Janice decided not only would they create frozen cookie dough for moms to quickly be able to bake fresh cookies for their children, but they were going to create cookie dough that was indistinguishable from the wheat and dairy based ones. They knew they had done just that when taste testers could not tell the difference between the gluten, casein and tree nut free Cookie Momsters' cookies and the traditional wheat and dairy based ones. In fact, many preferred the Cookie Momsters' version.
