Taking a child with autism to the dentist has been a tooth-pulling experience (pun intended) in the past. Today changed that! We went to a different dentist in town who not only had experience, but also had been trained on how to treat children with special needs and so had all of her staff!
We won a huge public relations and marketing package! The company liked our story and wanted to help us grow not only our business, but also our advocacy!
Just when I've think I've got it all figured out...

Having a child with special needs has made me become adept at orchestrating his schooling, therapies, medical treatments, and care. We are very lucky to have a talented group of people working with our son. Our DAN! doctor is miraculous and a personal friend; our therapy group (speech, occupational, and applied behavior anaylsis) are the best of the best; our teachers and caregivers are talented and nurturing; and just when I start to feel like I've got the autism world in the palm of my hand--my husband comes home with the news that we are being transferred across the state!
Now I'm really walkin the walk and talkin the talk!

I put Jacob, my son, on the gluten and casein free diet when he was three. I thought I knew what it was like because I made it a point to give him healthy GFCF alternatives, but when I found out that I had to go gluten and casein free...my thoughts and opinions changed.
